Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth Smith has been part of the Guinness World Records team for almost a year but is no stranger to the screen or stage. Since she was four years old, Elizabeth has taken on starring roles in a variety of TV programmes, commercials and theatre productions. She even turned down the chance to become the real life Disney Princess Cinderella to take on her biggest role to date; Guinness World Records Adjudicator.

Before becoming part of the Guinness World Records family, Elizabeth had already racked up an impressive list of achievements. Not only is she fluent in both Spanish and Italian, having studied at London's UCL University and in Buenos Aires, but has also starred in UK shows Touch of Frost and Emmerdale, and worked on Argentina's Big Brother. Despite her acting success Elizabeth was searching for a new and greater challenge, and one in which she could use her language skills. When Elizabeth heard about the role at Guinness World Records she immediately applied - Elizabeth has been a fan of the record breaking brand since childhood.

As a Guinness World Records adjudicator, Elizabeth has undergone the rigorous training process that is standard for all official adjudicators. Following the successful completion of her adjudicator apprenticeship, Elizabeth has travelled the world officiating record attempts where her adjudication skills have been pushed to the limit. Elizabeth's most memorable, and challenging, adjudications include the world's largest firework rocket where precise adjudication could only be secured by standing a few metres away from a rocket containing 29 pounds of explosive as it was lit! Or in Lebanon where Elizabeth was suspended nine feet from the ground in order to secure precise measurement for the world's largest wine glass. However, one country Elizabeth has yet to explore is India.

Elizabeth Smith said: "Being given the opportunity to work on the new Guinness World Records show truly is the highlight of my time at the company so far. I am really looking forward to exploring India and helping to uncover the most talented individuals that this incredible country has to offer. The show is an opportunity for the people of India to secure their place in history, and likewise for me to create some of the most memorable moments of my lifetime."
